I did this piece for an area video game company. Friend of mine who works there wanted to see how my machine would do with a _TERRIBLE_ piece of scrap particleboard. I think it was a keyboard tray from a computer desk or something... it was awful wood. The source image I'm using had a very nice halftone gradient from white to black, but as you can see, it went from black to nothing very quickly and unceremoniously. Perhaps a higher quality laminated wood would have been more effective, perhaps I should have made the halftoning more pronounced. Anyway, live and learn!
Remember, kids: Nice wood won't make nice projects, but Crap wood will Destroy the best of 'em.
