Here is a WWI emblem that my father has and I'm going to carve for him .Scanned and cleaned up, you just need to flip it when you use it so the dates will read correctly.I tried to upload as a ptn ,but it said invalid it may have been corrupted,so I did it as a MPC File

That's a good 'un Ben. To import a PTN you need to ZIP it as PTN files are not allowed here.

Very nice work. I have a friend at work who was in WWII I am going to ask him if he knows about the emblem. Keep up the nice work :)

I well remember those. They had a nickname for that insignia, but damned if I can remember it. Something like the "Crippled bird" but that doesn't sound like it either. It was for all honorably discharged military, any service.

My father and I would flag alot of graves before Memorial Day
and he always told me that was a Ruptured Duck. He also told me never ever volunteer even info in the army. They were asked does anyone know what grits are and a dozen raised their hands including my Father. They were all made cooks.

Ken,

SNAFU is still very prominent in my vocabulary ... with original meaning ... and usually aimed at the same type of governmental situations, but not necessarily limited to that <g>

Let's not forget FUBAR .
We hope this does not happen to our carvings or masterpieces.

Speaking of albums, Ken, I just learned that my stepson has just bought (new) a 33 1/3 rpm record player for his new stack of records. And here I'm thinking, boy I wish I had kept my old record albums (even had some 78's and 45's) for him. I didn't even keep them for putting onto CDs, sad to say. Apparently the purists (my stepson) are going back to the old records with super new stylus' and turn tables. What goes around, comes around <g>.
