First Scan

I like many others just recieved my scanner this week.
I wanted to see just what it would do so went looking for something to scan.
found this on my mother-in-laws back door. I am always getting ideas and projects from the fourm so wanted to share something. Now if I can just figure out how to attach it.

Dusty very nice, try this one. I think the letters are better using bit optimize set to best.

Thanks for sharing. Might I suggest changing the depth of cut to 0.15" as it really smooths out that carving.

I like it with a depth of .200 and a height of 250. Looks real smooth with out losing the detail.

Add a carved region around it at that setting and take off the excess gives a nice raised profile without the box.

Thanks all for the infromation.
I have tried a few and they all helped.
I did not do anything to the original scan just sent it in to show how good the scanner worked. I have attached a picture of the original piece scanned.
As you can see it was pretty rough to begin with.
