Here is one of the firstprojects I did when I got the machine..I used.. .750 thick cherry for all..Mom flipped when she saw it..

rjustice,I used helmsmans spar polyurethane only on it..The spray type..I did it outside in the sun and put three coats about an hour apart..It really started to darken after each coat...Fun project that took about six hours total to do..:D

Cherry will darken rapidly in UV sunlight.I had sheet goods stacked where the sun shined on the stack and would make a dark section where one sheet over lapped the other leaving a corner exposed to sunlight.Once I stained some cherry doors ,but one door kept coming up light, instead of toning with lacquer like I normally would ,I left it in the window where strong sunlight would hit it,Darkened it right in.

It's in the project sharing dept? in the Gallery.It was done with the scanner...not bad !
