whats this?

while removing the cover of my machine to check wiring attachments I discovered this thing next to my machine. It must have came off the machine, but I have no idea what its for or where it goes. Help!

It is the dust cover off the Z or Y motor.

Isn't it fun running the machine and finding parts!!!! My homing sensor came apart and at first I thought oh no!!!! Then I discovered it was the inner half of the homing sensor, which is not needed due to the newest software.

I just chalk it up to all you can do is laugh!!! :)

Yes I found my inner sensor riding the belt one day and wondered what is this?.... Then remember reading about it too.
