This piece measures approximately 15" x 40" and is carved out of Birdseye maple. It includes an ebonized Walnut frame. The frame is joined with box joint joinery at the corners. The carvings were burned to enhance shading and dimension. This was a commissioned piece that incorporated 5"x 7" photos belonging to the client. The photo frames are carved out from the back side to accommodate 1/8" inch glass, the photo and a backing. Aluminum rounds have been inset into the sides of the frame and buffed to remove all machining marks. All carving done on the CC (6.5 hrs.) with 1/16" carving bit. Beautiful work!!! 6 1/2 hours, nothing but WOW!!! You darned well showed the capabilities of the machine and operator with this one. Not to anger anyone else, but this goes to the top so far.

Thelittleboxshop might be new to the Forum - but this ain't the first time he's picked a mess of Turnip greenes. Nice work, I'm with Sarge, this just might be the best yet.

Really nice work TLBS, the finishing on the models does a great job of making them "pop" out and enhancing the details. Thanks for sharing this.
