View Full Version : Head Gear Lubrication

I search for this but didn't find anything. Has anyone lubricated the screw shaft for raising the head up and down. Mine is making noise and I think it just needs, lubricating. I don't want to grease it as the sawdust would stick.

Do you mean the guide rails and the cranking mechinism?

They call for light Lithium grease, but I use dri-cote. A little sawdust in the grease doesn't seem to hurt anything, though.

They call from lithum on the clutch mechinism and I would stick with it. As Paul says a dry lubricant on the guide rails works good and wont attract the sawdust.
