Craters in my imports

When I import an item, it always has what looks like craters all over it. Am
I doing something wrong? How do I smooth these out? Using photoimpact 12.
Also, what do I save the file as for best results?

This issue is due to poor quality pictures. You gotta clean them up or get crisper ones.

Hi David,
Another thing you can try is bluring the picture. Sometimes that helps.

also if you change the height it will not be as noticable, but what I would reccomend doing first is carve and see if it is not sandable, I had a couple of images that did not look too good in designer and then I sanded tham and voila.
