We are very frustrated with this system. a few questions...
The website says there are additional libraries you can buy - we have not found WHERE you can buy them? Also we have created a 2 dimentional drawing and now want to activate the carving icons but they will not highlight - how do you get them to highlight? We tried to save the file into the library because if you open a file from the library the icons highlight. But we have tried MANY directories and don;t seem to have the right directory to do that either! Please feel free to email me at fishhawka1@msn.com if you feel like helping someone who is dying to use this system but is EXTREMELY frustrated!

First you have to import files into the Designer. You do this under the File Menu, then Import image, , select From File, and go the the directory where you saved the file, use the yellow dashed line to determine what part of the drawing you want then hit next. Invert the image if you want then save it. Now when you go to the pattern list you will have your image under favorites.

Your first step should be the software manual which is accessable by clicking the word help in the top menu of designer. Select help contents and start at the beginning titled "Getting Started with the Software". I beleive this will answer many of your questions.

......we have created a 2 dimentional drawing ...

Do you mean in the Designer software, or another program ?

......and now want to activate the carving icons but they will not highlight - how do you get them to highlight? We tried to save the file into the library because if you open a file from the library the icons highlight.....

If you are trying to save the Designer file, you can only save it as a .mpc file - a complete project.
If you're trying to "import" the file you've made in another program, the process is quite different.
We need to know which in order to give you sensible help.
