Y axis

I've had Y axis stalls & cleans. When I've done the things that are on this forum to do I keep getting them. Someone mentioned a pinched wire or something but I was wanting to fix this myself if possible. After I clean the rails, the machine says to press enter & in so doing the carving bit proceeds to tearup the board going too deep & way out of bounds. Using walnut & red oak. Just spent half day cleaning board sensor & traction gears. This is a high maintenance machine. Thanks for the help.
