Yes, that is very nice. I would like to try it on some cherry that I found if it is not a copyrighted design.

Very nice work Bill. Good use of the elements combined for a distinctive look.

Well here is the revised look and the old one perhaps you can see the difference maybe not. The first pic. is the old and the second is the new pic. Let me know what you think ....Bad or Good.... ;)

The blending is much nicer in the second one. The flow from tree trunk to Elk is cleaner and more pronounced. Good work.

Just a thought for you to consider: If you bring your Elk height up and keep your background lower, after the carve you can manually carve a slight undercut around the edges of the Elk. That will give you a nice shadowing effect and really stand them off from the background. It will also give the appearance of a hand carved piece. Just something to consider and maybe try.

Well done it has a nice theme.
I see you fixed the antler depth issue, I also think the tree trunks sprouting out of the top of the elk are a bit distracting. if the elements originated in a visible spot and the flowed around the Elk it might have a bit more real composition. I am not an artist, but I know what I like.
I'm not trying to be critical, just helpful take my opinion as just that.

Hey Bill, I like your signature on your carvings... you need to do up a fancy little letter with some bevels etc. and just save it as a pat so you can easily drop it in....

Very nice-looking design also!

Hello Jon,
Thanks for the complement. :D
Yes that would be nice but don't have the software to make a nice 3D letter. :(
Bill.

Mike : Looks good Bill. How big is the board?

Hello Mike, thank you.
The board size for this scene is 1/2" thick x 20" long x 10" wide.
I also have one laid out for a fireplace mantel that is going to
be 1/2" x 60" x 5" this one is not complete yet.

Here is the latest revised look using shrubbery from http://www.vectorart3d.com/
James was nice enough to make these bushes up for me to try.
Thanks Bill.
