I know this machine is not designed to cut or carve metal, but I think it could handle this. I regularly use a sign material called Dibond or Signabond. It is about 1/8" thick and consists of a polymer composite core similar to HDPE with a .010 aluminum face on each side. I machine this material easily with my router and the aluminum skin is about the thickness of the walls of a soda can and can be cut with a razor knife. I was wondering if anyone had cut any material with a metal face or skin.

I think I will call CarveWright to be sure it would not void my warranty.

My worry would be not the thickness of the metal, but all the metal chips that could enter the eletrical workings up near the drive motor, and possibly short some things out.
Just my opinion.
