Something to carve....

I saw something like this on a guy's hat at the supermarket about an hour ago. Thought I'd see if it would make a nice carving. I think it came out pretty good. Looks great inverted too. It's attached below.

You may have inverted the recessed carve surrounding the design. Try inverting only the center.
