I see a little refinement going from 1/16 to 1/16 long - but I will be carving in curly maple - this photo is pine practice board with the 1/16 long bit. I have a 1/32 - any thoughts?

The long 1/16" bit is for doing deep carvings. Other than the length it has the same profile as the standard 1/16" bit. It will flex though do to the length. You will get better detail from the 1/32" bit.

Thanks - I will switch out and see what I get.

Don't forget to change it in your project and re-upload to the data card. Just changing the bit at the machine will not give you the results you want.

Also set bit optimization to "best" if you haven't already done so.
