I can't remember where I read it...but the "newer" machines already have the CarveTight spindle. Is this true?
How can I determine what "version" my machine is and if, in fact, it has the upgraded spindle?
Thanks!!!

I believe you have the latest and greatest.... And it should be a CarveTite. The Standard for a few years now.

If you are using a t handle hex wrench to loosen the screw to remove the bit, you have a carvetight. If you have a quick chaange design, where the bit is in a holder that you snap into the spindle and use a wedge type tool to remove that is the older style spindle design.
