Hello,

This compact planter project is an attractive “biophilic” addition to a desktop, tabletop or shelf in the office or home. The integrated arrow in the letter “t” points to the plant area to proclaim “I’m A Plant!” and is sure to get noticed!

Easy to make, this planter makes a great gift and/or an item to sell at Craft Shows or your online store!

The project uses just the 1/16" Carving Bit and the 1/8" Cutting Bit. No other bits are required. Finished dimensions are about: 6.25" Wide x 3.75" Deep x 3.75" Tall

Main items you will need:

1) The Project Files (included):
• Im_A_Plant.mpc

2) Board with the following dimensions: 0.75" x 11" x 23"

NOTE: Do not use boards that are smaller than specified above unless using an appropriate jig.

3) Sandpaper, glue, stain and/or paint and clear finish

4) Artificial plant and florist foam or florist moss to secure it in the container

5) A Dremel-type rotary tool with assorted abrasive attachments to aid the sanding process. A spindle sander and/or belt sanders can help speed up the sanding/surface preparation even more.

Apply the finish of your choice.
Here’s what I used on the sample "I'm A Plant" Planter made from Select Pine:

• Applied two coats thinned Bulls Eye SealCoat (50/50 SealCoat and denatured alcohol)
• Sanded lightly between coats
• Painted the lettering with a green acrylic paint pen
• Several light coats Krylon Clear Acrylic overall
