Text Thru board

Is there a way I control text depth ?
I want to carve text thru a board.
Board is 1/2" thick pine, will use in panel to allow air flow.

Do you have an example of what you want to do so we have a better idea? With raster text you can set the depth to want you want.

Outline the letters and use the cutout tool. But what about the middle of the O, A etc.?
