I purchased some white cast acrylic material to do lithos with. It carved great but there isn't much contrast like there is when using corian. Can someone give me some info on what color of acrylic I need to order. This is the 2nd time I tried and both times the results were the same. I've done many others that turned out great but this new sheet just isn't turning out right. Thanks

I have found that there is a big difference in the look between the two materials. My preference is Corian or similar solid surface material for lithos.

Is there a color preference that works best? I see a lot of corian listed as great white.

Take a look at this site. They give you a view option to see the difference. http://candlestonegifts.com/

Same here Jerry, I purchased some Candlestone white and I found that it was difficult to see the pattern as opposed to the regular white Lexan that I was using. Just wondering if the depth and height settings should be different. I an using 180 depth and 450 height with 1/4" material.

Thanks for the info. Will be ordering some tonight. If I find any other sources I'll post it here just to pass it along.

Jerry you could try edge lighting the acrylic to see what type of look you get. Acrylic is great for this type of use. It may give you a few ideas for projects, but you never know till you try.
