Is there a single place where the bits the CW software recognizes and we can get from our sources? A print out or file I can use while shopping is what I am thinking of.
thanks in advance.

Just go to the carvewright web site and scroll down the left side to products/price and ther is pictures of all the bits . Just print and go.

Thanks for the tip I did not know they had the bits listed.
I see 13 bits listed, is this all that is in the menu for bit selection, I will answer my own question when I get home, on the way I have some shopping to do. ;)

There are some different bits listed in designer than those on the website.
The bits in designer are as follows.
Ballnose 1/2--1/4--1/8--and 1/16
Roman Ogee 3/16--1/8
Roundover 1/4--1/2
Classical 3/8--1/2
V-groove 90--60
Straight 1/8--3/8--1/2

Thanks I have my machine back (yea!) and noticed a few on the option list of the router profile not on the web site as well.

Does anyone know of a spot to import bits to the carvewright software? When I edit the board settings and go to pattern bit, only four bits are available for selection.

At this moment in time you cannot define the properties for a new bit. Perhaps in the future they will allow us to.

the ability to import this info and not re-create it in designer would be a plus. A tool maker can make the custom bit with a 2d profile (dxf) and if we could use same design it would make a custom but an expensive bit easy to use with designer.

Are you trying to select bits for routing? Like round over bits and such? To do that select your vector path and and then select the icon that looks like a router bit.
