I have a question about Centerline text and Conforming Vectors. I have been under the opinion that if I use
Centerline text on a non carved area and Centerline text with Conforming Vectors on a carved area that the resulting carved letters should look the same. Am I correct? For some reason that is not what I am getting. The text in the carved area is about half as wide and half as deep as the text in the non carved area. See the pictures below. The carved area is set at .25" and measures exactly .25" deep . This was done with the 90 degree bit and is even worse with the 60 degree bit.

They should be at the same depth. I am not sure if this might be a depth calibration issue or not. It might be worth a call to CarveWright to see what they say.

Centerline with conform works good for me. Awhile back there was a problem with the firmware on some machines and they had to email a fix or patch. Maybe your machine is one of those. Give the Carvewright people a call in the morning.
