error e04 0293 x axis

keep getting this error. I measured a piece of wood and went to start a carve. the x axis starts for just a second then stops and gives error message. any ideas?

Possible ideas...

- broken x gear
- board binding between edge guides
- "bad" board (cupped, warped)
- board too short (7" rule not followed)

Try the x test: 0-8 and see what happens.

I disconnected the servo motor. tested good. reinstalled. worked fine. poltergeist?
