Though there are limitations with Designer basic it is still a powerful tool for creating patterns. It may take a little bit more time and a little bit more imagination but some respectable patterns can be made with the software. I'd like to start this thread so folks can see they can start making patterns on day one with a little practice and patience.

Here is the first entry. A pool table with a 9-ball rack. It is not to correct dimensions but you get the idea of what it is.

I'd like to see what others can do. Pictures would be great.

P.S. corrected pattern to have only three diamonds on the ends of the table.

Start your own thread Henri. (I emailed you a list of Canadian users that I had.) Lets both delete our posts here so the original use of the thread can continue. (You first!)
I never got the email when did you send it ,,,..you got a private message

This took about 15 minutes to make using only basic shapes and select surface for some shaping. I was not particularly careful or precise but if you take your time and ensure your snap to grid is on you can be pretty precise in your element placement. The take away is you can embed shapes within shapes for more complex elements. Also, using the spine tool you are not limited to your basic shapes. You can build different shapes like the outline of the controller here.

And a little practice for more precision placement of elements. Diamond plate texture previously shared.

Considered putting into the depot for a sec because I thought it looked really good. Built in designer basic only and the texture I have previously shared.
