Fellow carver needs help with pattern

A fellow CW carver in my town asked if I could help with this pattern. Although I did clean it up a little and import it into designer after applying some gaussian blur it still is not great. Thought I would see if anyone else could give it a try. It seems like a good candidate for shader map however I do not have it and have not learned how to use it. Attached are a couple of pics and my attempt. It is going on an Urn he is making for a friend who died. The friend was a big Led Zepplin Fan and this was on the cover of an album. 82923[/ATTACH
