I am having a problem with the CC measuring the board length correctly just before carving the project.

I can use the measure length (option 7) to measure the board correctly, but once I enter a project, it measures the length shorter than it is.

I am trying to carve some light colored cedar. I tried a strip of masking tape on the ends which didn't help. I blackened an area on the masking tape with a felt tip and got a clear sensor message, so I know it is sensing the end of the board.

I searched "measuring board" on this forum, but didn't find any posts addressing this specific problem.

Any suggestions?

Otherwise, my CC has been carving better than ever since I replaced the bit holder, keypad ribbon and glued the z-truck ribbon securely.

Thanks.

If you are selecting 'stay under rollers' you need to add an additional 7" to the overall length of your board. Otherwise it will decrease the length by 7" and shrink your project to fit.
