Is there anyway to manually run the cut motor?

I replaced the traction belts and clear cover this week.
I went to do a carve and the cut motor will not run.
I have straight wired the motor and it will run.
Put it all back together and it ran for one bit change and now nothing.

going to take it apart again to check the wiring into the motor and the board.

i would like to be able to manaull start the motor so i don't have to go thru uploading a pattern each time.

Now need help troubleshooting the motor.
It will run if I splice in a wplug to the wall outlet.
Will not run buy going to maually run option.
It does see me turn motor.
Check wire connection to the motor
replaced motor brushes.
check x board under machine. Everything looked good.
The big brown thing (forgot what it is called) looked good not bulging and looks to be solder good.(not sure if you can ohm it or not Didn't get a reading on meter showed open)

Are you sure it is not just the right cover switch. You did replace the cover, right? Do you hear it click?

First thing to check is the connection at the cover switch to insure it is opening and closing with clear cover. Sometimes the clear cover can get out of alignment when to top cover is removed.

You can bench test the power in/out put by laying the machine on the back side and doing the cut motor test option.
First remove the flex core from the motor and outer core.
Load a short board just long enough for the compression rollers to make contact and short enough to not contact the out feed trays.
Lay the machine over and run the cut motor test and check the voltages into and out of the card. It should be 110 volts.

Stay safe!

Found it.
The black wire fell out of the white holder in the motor.
I don't know what cause the issue the first time.
I heard clicking from both switches on the cover. But still no power.

When I tested the motor the firs time it was still in machine before I pulled.
While I had it out i open it up and cleaned the comm. The put it back together.
Looks like I might not of put the wires in the correct spot and it pulled it out when i tried to run it the first time.

Ill see how it works tomorrow.I have to finish putting it back together tomorrow and run it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I learn alot about taking it apart tonight.

Glad it was an easy fix. Yes once you get into the guts of the machine it is easy to work on.

Yes, know that feeling. Got over it after the first couple of times.
