Long story short. My friend gave me his machine to use if I can get it running. When I run a motor test is shows motor is running but it's not. I bench tested the motor and it works. I by passed the switch on the right, still does the same thing. The bit holder moves freely and is not bound up. My friend said he replaced one of the boards on the bottom of the machine. All the other test, test OK and no error messages.
Anything else I should do be for I drive the machine to Houston?
Any help would be much appropriated.

Thanks,
Brad

He probably replaced the X termination board. That is the board that the cut motor power goes through.

Look for any loose wires or burn components.

Brad, my machine was doing the same thing. One of the wires that plug into the XTerm board was not crimped into the plug correctly. Also check the soldering points at the base of the reddish colored component as these can break. I noticed on the new machine this had been beefed up with epoxy.

There are several previous threads on this forum about that problem. I cut off all of the wire push pull connectors between the cut motor and the wires from the boards and switches and replaced them with soldered connections. That solved my cut motor run problems.
