change from optimal to best

Is it possible to change from optimal to best during a carve. I would like to do part of the carve in optimal and part in best or normal for drilling (135 holes) it would make the carve a lot faster.

The optimal, best, normal, and draft settings are only for carving. I do not think they make any difference at all for the cutting or drilling operations. If you wanted to do different parts of a carve with different settings, you would have to do it as two separate projects. You cannot change the setting during a carve.

Short answer is no you can not change the carve quality setting in the middle of the carve. From what I have noticed, the carve quality settings only impact the raster/pattern carve times and has little effect for vector type carves.

That's what I thought but figured I would check with someone that knows a lot more about it than I do. Thanks for the quick replies.
