I am having problems getting the design to center on the board. For instants last night i was making a piece for the center of a cabinet door and the design is about 1 inch higher then center. Any ideas.

What are you trying to center and how are you trying to center it?

I scanned a picture of an eagle onto a piece of 1 X 12 X 12 Pine to do an inlay on a cabinet. after it was done carving the design had about three inches of uncarved space on the top of the board and 4.5 inches on the bottom of the board. If I had left the board too long i could cut it to the right size, just wondering how to avoid that.

Sounds like you selected the 'Stay under rollers' option which requires and extra 3.5" on each end of the board. If your design fills the board in Designer and you select 'Stay Under Rollers' your design will be scaled to fit the board you load into the machine, minus the extra 7".

actually I did select not to stay under rollers, that is why I am confused. Maybe I should just leave the board longer though huh?
