View Full Version : Will A CC Produce This?

I need to produce snowboard cores for a small snowbaord company. We make about 175 boards a year. The cores come from aspen planks and need to be cut to about 15"x75". Would this be too long for the machine to keep wood straight. The core just needs to be cut to the shape of a snowboard(rounded tip and tail, bowed in the middle) It also needs to have rounded top edges. Also 6 holes drilled into each end of the board to mount bindings. Would the CC work for this? Is this too much production for this machine? How long would it take to produce 1 core? Any other help would be great.

Thanks,

Jeff

Jeff, the max width of the workpiece is 14.5". As for the rest, why not download the trial version of the software and try creating the snowboard blank. The only way to get a cut time estimate is when saving the project to the memory card. If you post a similar (not one of your production designs) here someone with a machine will probably be nice enough to tell you the estimated cut time.
