I"m using one of the "older" machines with the infrared bit sensor in the truck. Sounds like this may have been replaced by another mechanism in later machines. At any rate, I got some sawdust in the sensor behind the plastic lens and when I removed the lens to clear out the dust... OOOPS! I won't quote my exact words since this is a family forum. I didn't break it, but it popped out and disappeared into the ether. I'm sure I'll find it right there on the bench a few years from now, but at the moment I can't find it.
Will this cause any problems? Will everything be okay running the carvewright without this cover? Obviously I'll have to be sure to clear out the dust everytime I change a bit, but I try to do that anyway. Do I need to bother trying to get a replacement lens?
Thanks,
Matthew
