Chair seat help

Hey Everyone! A friend of mine has asked him to create a chair bottom for him. I have attached a picture of chair that has what he is looking for. I am still new at this and don't have all the know how yet. I have also included a copy of my mpc file to show you what I have come up with so far. I would really appreciate some advice on how to make mine look like the picture. Thanks!

The size in your example seems like and awfully small seat but the pattern in this example can be resized. It was an example from the Aspire forum using a fluted toolpath, exported as an STL then imorted into the Designer. Maybe it will help.

Try an inverted puff. Draw the outline and puff it then invert it.
