A friend brought me this cross using the name "JESUS", and asked me to replicate it. It is approximately 14" long. I know I could trace the image with connecting or segmented lines tool, but I'm not very good with that function, and it is so tedious. Is there an easier way? I know there is graphic software that will automatically trace the outline, but I don't have CorelDraw or Adobe Illustrator. I also thought about trying to photocopy the image. Would that work? Would Designer 3.0 outline that image?

Thanks for any proffered assistance:p

One simple way is to simply write the word using a font that is close and then use outline pattern and then use cut out function. If you use single letters you can move them around as needed and elongate as needed.

It wouldn't be an exact copy (unless you have the fonts they used) but it would be close.

Photocopy or take a picture (square and far away with zoom). Then maybe we could get it traced.

I tried to use text, but was unable to access outline tool.

You would have to use raster text and then the outline tool.

One trick is to make the text as large as possible before outlining. Outlining smaller text does not always result in closed curves. Watch to see if the cut out button lights up.
