I purchased this pattern from the CW store. There is a hole in the center which I would like to remove but not being the author it will not allow me to change the pattern. Any help would be great, especially if it's the guy who made this pattern. I'm carving bed posts and this hole right in the center just doesn't look right.
Since it is a purchased file I don't think I should post it on the forum but if there is a way someone can fix it I could email it to them for the repair that I need. Hope thats ok.

I would suggest you find the pattern vendor in the pattern depot and have the folks at CarveWright contact them for the changes..

Curious, does bit optimization best fix it? Floor feather off??

Just an FYI... if it was purchased through the pattern depot it is protected and others could only view it and would not be able to upload it to a card for carving. I tried looking through the depot and could not find this pattern. Looking at your picture it look like a "very low quality" pattern to begin with. If was me I would ask for a refund..

Jerry, It looks like it was just shrunk past the optimized size for the pattern. What size were you going to carve that at? Does it have to be that one specifically? I can try to do a quick pattern tomorrow since I have the day off tomorrow.

I am putting this on a 2.6 X 2.6 bed post, so yes I've shrunk the pattern down a lot. I have not tried floor feather off but will. After looking thru the 8 files my friend picked out for this bed project this one I'm needing help on did not come from the pattern depot after all, so I don't know who made it. It will not allow me to import it into designer so I can modify it tho. So I'm going to post the file in hopes that someone can maybe fix this....somehow. Thanks if you can, other wise I'll have to have her find something else.

Just put a small carve region disk over the hole and tweak the depth. Know one will ever notice.

Not that it will help any, but I found that ptn in the pattern sharing depot here on the forum.

Looks lid it was meant to be a clock face. Besides hiding the hole with a round carved out area, use bit optomization best and some draft and maybe change the depth to 75 instead of 100.

Thanks for all the help. Going to give it a try and see what I come up with. And I agree with the idea that it was for a clock face as it is in the dead center.
