rotated "L' doesn't look right

I want to place 2 letters together at a 45 deg angle and the "L" looks out of shape a bit, but not the "U", any ideas
would help. At 0 deg they both look great just not large enough for the size board I have.

I think the problem is that you changed the L size by dragging a side handle. After that, the rotation causes a distortion. Changing the aspect ratio screws up the rotation.

Thanks, berg, you were right, I had stretched the L somewhat and did not think it would effect the rotate. Learn something new everyday.

I stretched the rotated L width and it looked straight.
