This project was done by my grandson Michael Smith (Christy did the painting). I only did a little supervising in regards to pattern placement. The cutting board center was salvaged from a solid oak table leaf, which was cut, in 4 inch strips, glued and then bolted together with all-thread rods. The outer surface had patterns made by VictorClip3D carved into oak stair treads and then screwed onto the center block. The "blood line" was carved with the router table. Really nice, I would have never thought of incorporating carvings on the side of a cutting board like that.

Beautiful!!! That is a one of a kind cutting board and who ever gets it will be very happy.

Beautiful work. The whole project really jumps out at you and that you were able to reuse wood adds
to it.
