I've not had time to do much in my shop but I knocked out a couple of items. The pic that looks Like a a black hole is a 3 foot long sun shade for an area of my office. The other is a Christmas gift I made for a customer.

Everyone was so nice about the comments on the black hole carve so here is the MPC for you to use.

The finish process was simple:

- sand
- seal with light coat of rattle can shellac
- brush on minwax ebony
- lightly brush off tops of rectangles
- use rag wrapped around a 1 foot 2x4 to wipe top of entire carve till contract is to your liking
- seal with two coats of rattle can shellac
