Morning-- I am searching for a way to use live edge wood with the Carvewright?? Is this possible?? I searched YouTube but could find anything-- Can someone help-- Thanks John

Thanks so much-- I have a portable Sawmill and do Chainsaw Carving so I end up with a lot of odd pieces-- This will really help-- Thanks for your time and setting me in the right direction-- Thanks again John

Rails along the sides may also be required if the piece is really rough or if the carving goes right across the piece.

Here is a piece I did a few years ago using a piece from a maple tree I cut down. I did soak the slabs in a 50-50 water and dish soap solution for maybe a week to help it from cracking as it aged. So far no cracks, I know I used a jig with rails and tape just like in the earlier post here.

I just did a post about a rail sled in the Flag Case post that would work for live edge. My bit touched the top of my sled rail so all you need to do is get the live edge wood even with the top of the side rails and either hot melt or tape and wedge it down.
