Font Question

I have a question about font techniques.

I am making a sign for a family member and there is a section on the sign that has the lower edge of a set of text that has a upwards curve.

With the top, left and right being 90 degrees and level, how do I curve the lower edge in an arch?77967

I have tried the arch command in the edit text tool, but that curves the whole text. I also was playing with the decorate with text, but that is no good either.

If you have v3, you can use the envelop tool:

I have not used the envelope tool, I have all the bells and whistles for the carvewright, I made a outline similar to your outline and used the text with the contour tool but couldn't get the envelope tool to light up what is the trick to do that, as ya'all said we are still learning. ;)

LOL, I had to go back and start again because I didn't notice when the tool became available! Once you have the text on the board, still "selected", the tool comes available.
