Help with carve region

I made a cutting board with a juice groove and I need to carve out 2 areas to put a small cup but I can figure out how to carve out the wood with the progam

use the circle tool or the rectangle tool make the are as big as you want it then select the carve region tool. And if you want you can add feathering.

Thanks I ended up figuring this one out now I'm having a different problem atm

Figuring out these different problems is how you learn. If you figure them out yourself, you will understand the method better and be able to add to that understanding when figuring out the next problem. That if what makes this fun.
