Does anyone know what this code means x axis stall E04-0304.
I have changed the x motor with the same results.
No teeth missing in the gear box.
Belts are moving manually.
All I think is the x termination board.
Any other suggestions???

How goes the x drive test?
How is the head pressure?
Belts centred?
Check the metal gears driving the rollers. They can slide toward the keypad side and rub.

Test gives me that error code.
Head pressure is good.
Belt is centered.
Will check the metal gears and if it's ok than
I'll change the termination board.
Henry has a spare one! Thank you Henry!

Not at all........Henry is lending me a termination board just to try it out but I just can't imagine it would be the problem since it
looks fine to me. I've checked the metal gears and they're not rubbing anywhere.
I can turn the rubber belts manually but should there be resistance or should they turn easily??

Moving the rubber belts by hand when the machine is off is not that easy. They move but it does take a good push. All the x gears are hard to run backwards.

When you run the x drive test, does it seem labored?
I do not see how it could be the x termination board either unless it is just a poor connection.

It doesn't even do the test, it gives me the error code right away.

Nothing happens, it stops immediately with the error code.

Nothing moves or works. The test stops immediately with the error code.
I tried a brand new motor yesterday with the same results.

That sure seems like a wiring problem. I assume the y or z test does work?

Yes so which cable would be the problem, any idea Dan?

Who knows? Maybe you will find it when you swap x termination boards.
