Can you explain what you did Suzanne ?

Your regions must all have a Carve Region applied, before you can outline it. You can change the carve region back after outlining, if you don't want one applied.

That's exactly it!

I have too many add on's and not enough knowledge I don't know how to put this into a pattern or to favorites I used the tracing Image add on program.

This is what I started with.... Thank you Zan29 and Connie, I got it on my pattern

It is the same story. You have to use the curves to make carve regions. Only carve regions can be make into patterns, not pure vectors. If you make each curve a carve region, you can group them and then use make pattern. If you just want to save the curves, copy and paste to a new board and save the mpc.

Dan, I don't understand the carve region that you stated I just want to save the cj so that I can put it on the existing carve. When I make a pattern and it goes to my favorites it shows that I made the pattern but it's not there.

Ok, follow these steps. Fix the small lower loop so it is a closed curve. (The top point needs to be connected.) Select all and make carve regions. (Defalut will be 0.25) select just the small lower loop and make it 0.00. Group them all and make a pattern. Now when you use the pattern, invert it.

Here it is set up to make a pattern. (Look on the back for the result.)

Dan you don't know how long Iv'e tried to make a pattern on the import image file it was never that important so just gave up.. when it don't show up like the lower loop you select .0 carve region is that the general rule.

The lower loop was not connected. It could not be made into a carve region. That was just a little detail. The 0.00 carve region was so that that loop would be a hole when later inverted.
