Hi,

The other day I was able to use the toolbar, now I have the toolbar showing, however it is all greyed out and I cannot use it? I did move a couple of things around. Did I do something wrong or miss something? If anyone is good with toolbar, I would appreciate the help.

Thank you
Loriblackdog

This is what happens, I click designer, import frm file, choose my file, then save. at this point it takes me bck to designer blanck screen, I thought once I saved to file I could then hit the red X, delete that and rename my work? I am not sure what I am missing??? Thanks for your patience.

Which toolbar? Could you post a screen shot?

Lori, your toolbar is greyed out when you don't have a board in place. Try starting a new project and it should work.

Hi Zan29,

Thank you, I know it is right there in front of me, I will get all the steps eventually.

Thank you
Lori

Sometimes when more than one project is open and one project gets closed, some of the toolbars are grayed out. One has to open another project to get them back.

Tools are grey when you DON'T have something selected that they can be applied to.

Select Bit will not show unless you have something selected that you can apply a bit to...like a path.

That is a pattern and the default bit is the 1/16" ball nose bit. The bit select tool does not work for this, if you want to select a different carving bit for the project go to "board settings" and select the different bit for your project. This will change it for all of the pattern/raster carves on the board.

Correct. Change the carving bit by going to Edit > Board Settings > Pattern Bit. It WILL apply to all raster carving on project.
