cut outs

When placing two Patterns on the board how can you do a cutout of the patterns together.so when your done its one sign. when I do it it wants to put a line around each pattern and do a separate cutout.

Make a third carve region that "connects" the two patterns. The select all three and use outline. You should get an outline around them all.

the one pattern is over the other one in one place. its a diploma with a hat on top of it and the tassel is overhanging. How do you select both patterns.

ctrl - left click to select the second pattern? Easier in the carving list.
