I made this for my daughter's birthday using Aspire Version 8. The original design is by Michael Tyler and is intended for owners of Aspire to help learn the program. I modified the original v-carve project by converting it to 3D, adding a tray and a 3D name on the inside of the top.. It was quite a challenge and it is not mine to sell or give away so I can't share the patterns.
Wow Steve, Very nice! I'm sure your daughter will love it.

Thank you.
The wood is Walnut and I finished it with one coat of lacquer sanding sealer and 3 coats of MacLac lacquer sprayed on with a HVLP spray gun and hand rubbed with 0000 steel wool between each coat.

A unique gift that will be treasured for years to come. Like the way you placed her name on the lid of the box.

A big thank you to everyone. It's always nice to get a little "pat on the back".
