Thanks to all in the forum
The info is all there if you look
The moderators are very informed and helpfull
C.W. input has been great
The first project went well
The machine eceeds my expectations
I hope to carve many projects
If there is a small learning curve so be it
i have attempted to read all the posts in most of the forums before i took it out of the box
It helped a lot
Thanks again to all in the Forum
And to C.W.
Keep it up

Hi GS.
Welcome from the one without a machine (ho hum),
but I do think your post, as seen, (ho hum)
should have rhymed (ho hum).

Regards
John

Hello John,
Did i seem to overly happy. I was geeked to see it run
Sorry there was a little concern that of course things may not go as well as one would want. But all is well.
Today is another project. I am sure glad this forum exists. As for the Rhyming, as long as it makes sawdust i might write upside down and inverted (can that be done on the Machine?)
Thanks again
Glenn

Glenn, re-reading my missive, I can see it's open to a misinterpretation of tone. It's great to have you doing well. My "Ho Hum" is entirely aimed at my own condition, not any sense of a crit on your expression of delight.
Hope all continues well for you.
Regards
John

John,
Please accept my apology!!!!!! i have nothing but respect for the forum and moderators
I was trying to be funny
But when i reread my messages
It did not come out that way
I did not take your thread in a bad way
i was in a hurry and was not watching my typing
I was running my 4th project of the day
I hope you will take no exception to my stupid comment
Thanks
Glenn

John,
Are you serious you don't have a machine to play on?
I also see one must keep ones wit about them here. There are many different personalities
It must be difficult to juggle them all.
I shall post a couple pics of the carvings
I am a big race car fan Nascar, IRL, NHRA
and go to a lot of races so i tried to import some pics and play with those.
I also have a laser engraver (yag laser) and a CO2 laser.
I like my C.C. a lot though

Hi Glenn.
Perhaps neither of us really need apologise.
Let's just put it down to both of us not getting our sense of humour in synch :)

(The clue to my not having a machine is in my location.)

John,
Norfolk, UK
Thats a long way off to be a moderator and not have a machine (no fun also)
You do a good job , I have seen your posts.
They are not available there? or do they just cost too much ship
If you want you can come to Westland, Mi outside of Detroit and we can carve till the wee hours if you so desire
Enjoy
Glenn

Hi Glenn.
Thanks for the invite. Unfortunately, we're about two miles from the nearest bus stop, and I suspect that Norfolk Green Bus Company don't have a route that goes to Westland.
There's a thread somewhere, possibly in the archives by know, explaining the problem of getting the cw into Europe. Essentially, it's not the power supply probs., it's the non-compliance with the current EU regs for electronic goods disposal. If the pcb contains one of a list of heavy metals, you can't import it.

The cw team are planning one that could be exported to Europe, but I should imagine that's fairly low in the priority list for now.

Regards, and as we say in Norfolk "Keep yew on troshin, bor."

Hey John,
Where exactly is Norfolk? Is that Britan, Scotland?
Your profile said you are retired, what did you used to do?
Since you can't compucarve maybe I will make a sign or plaque and send it to you
Glenn

And as we say around here anyway

Greybeard, that is interesting. Would have never thought of making fans for a living. Here in the US we just turn on the A/C unit

I frequently ship orders to the UK - just shipped one to Daimler Chrysler UK in Milton Keynes (wherever that is). Enjoyed looking at your website, very interesting. Tell Pippa that I said hello and I see where your handle come from;)
