Would like to know how different the Avonite Like Corian/Candlestone might be from regular Corian? Or would there be any differences, at all, regarding their carving characteristics?

In my anxiousness I didn't read the seller's ad as well as I should have, or I wouldn't have ordered what I did before coming here to question the carving quality of those purchased sheets. What's making me question this is the 'LIKE' word which is associated with the Avonite Corian.

Thanks. I was hoping that it was (just another brand name). I had just gotten a bit concerned over the word 'Like'.

Here are some other brand names... Since first being introduced by DuPont (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DuPont) in 1967[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solid_surface#cite_note-1) under the name of Corian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corian), other manufacturers have also introduced their brands as well. Other brands include CMMA Solid Surface, Livingstone, Avonite, Meganite, Wilsonart, Visioneer, Formica (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Formica_%28plastic%29), Mystera, Karadon, Swanstone and others.[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solid_surface#cite_note-2)
