I would try a reinstall. It may be something in the Microsoft stuff. Directx or something.

I would not uninstall, just reinsntall. It will just write over the program files that are there.

maybe try restarting your computer. Sometimes things get corrupted for whatever reason and a reboot will cure it.

okay i think i figured it out, a few weeks ago there was a thread about not being able to see grid lines very good and it was sugested to turn off 3-d hardware acceleration .which worked to make grid lines better to see, without that they are faint lines and hard to see. i went back and turned that back on and now the board and carvings come back after i minimize the page then open it back up

yes that is what it is , because i have went back and turned it off and i get the problem , when i turn the 3-d acceleration back on it works as it should, and that kinda sucks because now if i want to see grid lines i have to go back and forth and turn the switch on and off

good thing to know - will have to keep that in mind. So everything is back right now (other than the hard to see grid lines)?

That doesn't work on my computers. Turning on or off the hardware acceleration makes no difference in the grid lines - they are the same either way. Waiting for a fix for it.

yes mike back to working right, other than switching back and forth for grid lines

Did you try turning off your hardware acceleration under Edit > Preferences?

When I upgraded to 2.07 I noticed my grid lines were hard to see. What I Found was in edit/preferences/3d graphics I moved the ambient level to high. Another thing you can also
do is select a wood stain.

something I just discovered on my computer in our house is when have hardware acceleration off - the edge of the board in the sweep window cannot be seen. There are strange differences in computers. The one I use in the shop shows the grid lines fine, the one in the house not so much. Turning off hardware acceleration looses the lithophane view and the sweep work area on my house computer. The area is all black and scrolling up/down or side to side doesn't produce the edge to work on the seep profile.
