I did all these by hand, not with the carvewright machine so if this is inappropriate to post hopefully they will be pulled.

I made the wife some hand carved flower pictures:

The daffodil has yellowheart, cherry, walnut, the rose is boxelder burl, mahogany and bloodwood, the daisy has curly maple, mahogany and redwood burl.

For valentines day I made her some carrot "people", carved from some 1¼" thick slightly curly maple:

limited to 8 pics per post so to be continued:

I used some automotive basecoat colors over reduced by about 600%, wiped on with a rag. Not sure I am all that thrilled with the coloring but the wife liked them.

The first is before clearcoating, second clearcoated and hung up outside, last is on the side of her kitchen cabinet.

Also turned and carved some wood eggs for her, thinking for Easter.

This one is from cherry, I glued in some peridots and a blue topaz.

I decided that the other side of the kitchen cabinet needed something to go with the carrot "people" so I carved a couple of mushroom "people"
75016 75017 75018 75019 75020 75021 75022
Made from some 1¼" thick curly maple. They are about 5½" tall.

What do you think of them?

Thanks ~Mike

These look awesome, They even seem to take away from the print. If you read the text with the photos, they pretty much tell the tale.

Love seeing your work. Your wife is a very lucky woman to have such a talented partner. Note: When I first saw them I thought what great handles, on kitchen cabinets, they would make.

Mike, I'm still amazed at the stuff you do. Years ago I remember the end tables with the beautiful warrior princess on it (at least that's what I thought she was). Amigo, you're talented beyond! And I recall that you just do this on the side as you were really in to cars & stuff. I also recall seeing some of the photos you played around with and that were also just as amazing. Hobby on! Amigo.... Hobby on!

Thanks everyone for the great replies.

I do have a scanning probe, however my computer bought the farm last year and I need to reload my carvewright software on the new system (Windows 8, ug). I'm probably going to need some help on how to reload the software without losing the codes for the patterns I had already bought. I also can't remember for sure what the last version of the carvewright software I had on the carvewright machine. I still have a card in the carvewright machine that had a few of my projects on it so I think I can get the version of the software from that?

Anyway some help in getting the software reloaded would be great.

Thanks ~Mike

Mike,

If you know that you have not purchased any of the upgraded Designer (2.xx or 3.xx) then you should download version 1.187
http://www.carvewright.com/support-page/getting-started/update/ And Yes you could verify your version from the flash card.

For any of your purchased patterns you can download those from your customer account. Link is under the help tab in designer of scroll to the bottom of the CW page. You will probably need to manage/update the licenses to activate them.
