Since I have been getting more requests and inquiries for cremation urns, I thought I should make some examples to show people what is possible and give them ideas. This is my first example, would be one of the higher end models. Walnut and maple, used material I probably would not use for customer projects because it has some small cracks (stabilized with CA glue) and bug holes. I do not consider sapwood to be defects but highlights. Standard 8x12x6H size, but looks bigger with the columns. No I did not do the columns on the CW, just the router table. Hard time photographing the horse scene on the lid.

The urn is very nice, but wondering how you pick the DOD, I noticed the year of 2025 in the DOD.

I wanted to make sure that people knew it was an example. Note it is July 4th, 2025. And the lucky guy was born on Pearl Harbor day. There is always a method to my madness HAHA

It also makes it something that is new and for the future. Nice product and presentation.

Thanks for all the comments, really appreciate it. This market has really been building for me. Urns are a great product, especially if you do them for a decent price. If you look around the net for what some people are charging for wood urns that aren't even carved.... seen some up to $500!! I would charge about half that for something like this. There are some details you have to pay attention to. If anyone wants to know about building urns, I would be happy to answer questions.
