No glue necessary for this frame. Just hot glued the led panel to the litho which can be removed easily and allows you to change the picture once in a while.

I'd recommend just using slightly thicker wood (a 0.625" recess holds a .25" litho, and has room for a 7mm led strip). I've made a few dozen litho frames this way; a 16' roll of lights for $6 on amazon (free shipping for prime - will do at least a few, maybe a dozen or more depending on size), plus an $8 power supply (also amazon, also free shipping), and no acrylic diffuser is needed. I have done 3x5" up to 11x16", and had no hot spots or shadows. Any thickness of backerboard, painted white, or covered with a foil, will work. Less than $10 per litho.

I do love your frame, though! Excellent design, and a great finish!
